Aloxe-Corton

Northernmost Côte de Beaune appellation. The Corton hill: red Grand Cru Corton (the Côte de Beaune's only red Grand Cru), white Grand Cru Corton-Charlemagne (shared with Pernand-Vergelesses and Ladoix). Bonneau du Martray holds the largest single Corton-Charlemagne plot.

2022 90 Very good warm vintage. Corton rouge structured and age-worthy. Charlemagne rich and generous.
2021 84 Good. Small crop. Corton's both red and white from surviving vines excellent.
2020 89 Very good. Corton-Charlemagne especially luminous. Corton rouge approachable earlier than usual.
2019 93 Outstanding. Corton red and Corton-Charlemagne white both at exceptional level. Rare convergence.
2018 91 Excellent. Corton Grand Cru (only red grand cru on Côte de Beaune) at very high level. Rapet and Bonneau du Martray strong.
