Pommard

Most structured Côte de Beaune red. No Grand Crus but Premier Crus Les Rugiens and Clos des Épeneaux (Comte Armand monopole) are exceptional. Iron-rich clay soils produce dense, powerful Pinot Noir that outlasts many Côte de Nuits wines in the cellar.
