Summerland

The agricultural district around the town of Summerland on the west shore of Okanagan Lake, historically the heart of the BC tree fruit industry. The lake's influence is pronounced here — summer fog and moderate temperatures produce more restrained, aromatic wines than the southern desert zones. Pinot noir, riesling, and pinot gris are well-suited to the conditions.
