Northwest of Verona. Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grape trio in three styles: Valpolicella (light, cherry-scented), Valpolicella Ripasso (refermented over Amarone pomace — medium-weight), Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG (appassimento — grapes dried 90–120 days; 14–17% ABV; dried cherry, chocolate, tobacco, spice concentration; minimum 2 years ageing). Also Recioto della Valpolicella (sweet version). Quintarelli is the undisputed master; Dal Forno is the modern super-concentrated style. BC importer: La Fête du Vin [NEEDS VERIFICATION].
