Kremstal
Kremstal DAC surrounds the ancient city of Krems at the Danube-Kamp confluence. A transitional zone between the granitic Wachau and the loess-rich Kamptal — producing Grüner Veltliner and Riesling of intermediate character: more structured than Kamptal but less mineral-austere than Wachau Smaragd. Nigl produces some of the DAC's most serious Riesling from volcanic Senftenberg slopes.
