Southern Burgundy's Gamay country, stretching from Lyon to Macon. The ten Cru Beaujolais villages — Fleurie, Morgon, Moulin-a-Vent, Brouilly, and others — produce wines of serious depth and character that reward cellaring. Beaujolais Nouveau is a different beast.
