Aglianico del Vulture

Basilicata's legendary DOC on the slopes of Monte Vulture — an extinct volcano in the Apennine mountains of southern Italy. The volcanic basalt soils and significant diurnal temperature variation at 300-700m altitude produce wines of extraordinary depth, structured tannin, dark fruit intensity, and volcanic mineral character. Aglianico del Vulture is considered the 'Barolo of the South.'
