Pouilly-Fuissé

The Mâconnais's most prestigious and internationally celebrated white wine AOC — the dramatic limestone escarpments and ancient caves around the villages of Fuissé, Solutré, and Vergisson producing Chardonnay of mineral depth, richness, and complexity that rivals village and premier cru Côte de Beaune Burgundy at significantly lower prices. The 2020 introduction of Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Cru — recognizing 22 individual climat across the five villages — has provided a classification framework that elevates the appellation's finest single-vineyard wines. The soils of white limestone and clay over Jurassic rock create a distinctive mineral character.
