The Aegean island of Samos produces one of the world's most ancient and celebrated fortified sweet wines from Muscat Blanc a Petits Grains. The cooperative (Union of Wine Producers of Samos) dominates production and maintains remarkably consistent quality across its range — from the dry Samena to the classic Anthemis (semi-dry) and the sumptuous Nectar Samos (sun-dried berry TBA equivalent). UNESCO has recognised Samos winemaking as Intangible Cultural Heritage.
