Vermentino di Gallura is Sardinia's only white wine DOCG, produced from Vermentino grown on the granite soils of northern Sardinia's Gallura region. The wines show intense aromatic character — white flowers, citrus peel, peach, and bitter almond — with a distinctive saline bitterness and mineral freshness that reflect both the granite terroir and the Mediterranean sea breeze.
