Northern Greece's highest-altitude and coolest PDO for Xinomavro — located on a high plateau at 550-700m above sea level near the Macedonian town of Amynteon. The cooler, more continental climate produces Xinomavro of exceptional freshness and elegance compared to neighbouring Naoussa, with higher natural acidity, more delicate aromatics, and earlier-drinking structure. The region also produces Greece's finest sparkling wine from Xinomavro.
