Valtellina Superiore

High-altitude Alpine DOCG in Lombardy producing Nebbiolo (locally Chiavennasca) on dramatic south-facing terraced schist cliffs above the Adda river; produces five named crus including Sassella, Grumello, Inferno, Valgella and Maroggia.
