Friuli's most diverse wine appellation on clay-marl-sandstone hills adjacent to Collio, producing both fine whites from Friulano, Ribolla Gialla and Picolit and serious reds from Schioppettino, Refosco and Pignolo. The appellation also produces the unique Picolit dessert wine from the semi-dried native grape.
