Sardinia's only DOCG appellation from the granite slopes of the Gallura region in the island's northeast. Vermentino from decomposed granite produces some of the Mediterranean's most distinctive whites: bitter almond, citrus peel, white flowers and a saline mineral character unique to Gallura's granite soils.
