Columbia Valley is Washington State's largest wine appellation, encompassing nearly all of the state's wine production in the rain shadow of the Cascades. The continental climate — hot days and cool nights — produces wines of exceptional concentration and natural acidity across Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Riesling. Washington is America's second-largest wine state, with Columbia Valley at the core of its identity.
