Pessac-Léognan AOC

The northern Graves sub-appellation surrounding the city of Bordeaux produces both the world's most celebrated dry white Bordeaux and some of its finest reds. Château Haut-Brion — Bordeaux's only First Growth outside the Médoc — anchors the appellation. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon create whites of extraordinary complexity and longevity; Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot produce earthy, tobacco-laced reds of haunting character.
