Often considered Bordeaux's most consistently reliable commune, Saint-Julien has no First Growths but five Second Growths and some of Bordeaux's most consistent overperformers. Its wines balance power and elegance, combining Pauillac's structure with Margaux's perfume. Léoville-Las Cases and Ducru-Beaucaillou are widely considered 'Super Seconds' rivaling First Growths.
