Germany — wine

Rheinhessen QbA

Germany's largest wine region by area, Rheinhessen has undergone a remarkable quality revolution. Once associated with simple Liebfraumilch, the region now produces exciting dry Riesling, Silvaner, and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) from a new generation of producers. The diverse soils — red slate, limestone, loess, and quartzite — and warm continental climate create genuine terroir diversity. The Rheinhessen Renaissance, led by producers like Keller and Wagner-Stempel, has made this one of Germany's most dynamic regions.
