Germany — wine

Württemberg QbA

Württemberg in southwest Germany is the country's most important red wine region, historically famous for the indigenous Trollinger grape but now producing exciting Lemberger (Blaufränkisch), Spätburgunder, and Merlot from a new generation of quality-focused estates. The Remstaler region around Stuttgart and the Württemberg Unterland produce Germany's warmest red wines. The Limberger ('Lemberger' in German) grape reaches exceptional quality here, producing wines of dark fruit, spice, and structure unlike anything else in German viticulture.
