Morocco — wine

Coteaux de l'Atlas

Morocco's highest-altitude and most prestigious wine appellation, located in the foothills and slopes of the Atlas Mountains near Meknès. Elevations of 600–1,200 meters moderate the North African heat, enabling Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Grenache to retain freshness and structure. The red soils and continental climate produce wines of surprising concentration and finesse.
