Croatia — wine

Dalmatian Islands

Croatia's island wine archipelago, including Hvar, Brač, Korčula, and Vis in the Adriatic Sea. The Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters creates ideal conditions for indigenous varieties Plavac Mali (the genetic parent of Zinfandel), Grk, Bogdanuša, and Pošip. Island wines carry a romantic terroir story — old vines on karst limestone, hand-harvested from steep coastal terraces.
