South Africa — wine

Cederberg Wine Region

South Africa's most extreme wine region, located in the Cederberg Wilderness Area at 1,000–1,100 meters above sea level — one of the world's highest vineyards. The extreme altitude creates remarkable temperature variation of 20°C+ between day and night, producing wines of extraordinary freshness and concentration. Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz are the region's benchmarks, but Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon also excel.
