Argentina — wine

Tupungato Wine Region

Tupungato is the jewel of Mendoza's Valle de Uco — a sub-zone of the Mendoza wine region at 1,000–1,500m elevation in the Andes foothills, where Malbec achieves its most elegant and mineral expression. The combination of extreme altitude, alluvial-calcareous soils, and the dramatic temperature drop of Andean nights (25°C diurnal range) produces wines of remarkable freshness and longevity. Cheval des Andes (Bernard Magrez and Terrazas de los Andes joint venture), Zuccardi Valle de Uco, and Clos de los Siete have made Tupungato Argentina's premium wine brand.
