Campo de Borja DO

Aragonese plateau northwest of Zaragoza at 300–700m; Ebro River valley with the Moncayo volcano massif to the north. Old-vine Garnacha is the dominant variety — one of the greatest concentrations of old Garnacha vines in the world. Limestone and clay soils; continental climate with fierce Cierzo wind providing disease resistance. Called 'The Empire of Garnacha' — extraordinary value for old-vine concentration.
