Areni PDO

The Areni Noir variety from the Vayots Dzor province of Armenia is one of the world's most ancient wine grapes — found in the 6,100-year-old Areni-1 cave winery, the world's oldest wine production facility. Areni produces wines of distinctive character from high-altitude volcanic soils with continental climate extremes.
