Vasse Felix's Heytesbury Chardonnay is one of Australia's greatest white wines: single-vineyard Margaret River Chardonnay from biodynamically farmed old-vine blocks, whole-bunch pressed and fermented in French Burgundy barrique. Pale gold with extraordinary complexity: white peach, preserved lemon, roasted hazelnut, struck flint mineral, and a cream-textured palate of great length. The wine has Burgundy's texture combined with Margaret River's natural acid precision. Ages beautifully over 10-15 years.
