Woodford Reserve Double Oaked

Kentucky Bourbon Country, USA
Woodford Reserve Double Oaked undergoes two separate maturation periods: first in standard new charred American white oak, then a second maturation in deeply toasted, lightly charred new white oak barrels. The second barrel — toasted for longer at lower temperature — extracts maximum wood sugars (vanillin, caramel polymers) without the bitter tannin of full charring. The result is the most vanilla-rich, chocolate-intense, caramel-saturated bourbon in standard production — a dessert in a glass. Consistently 94-96 points from major competitions.
Rich and sweet — dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel, toasted oak

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked's dark chocolate and caramel notes find direct complementarity in a rich brownie — the sea salt accent provides the same contrast the oak tannin provides in the whiskey.
