Chave Hermitage Rouge
Hermitage, France
About this product
The reference Hermitage — a blend of multiple lieux-dits across the Hermitage hill, unified annually by Jean-Louis Chave's genius. The wine is the most complete expression of Northern Rhône Syrah: granite mineral backbone, dark fruit, olive tapenade, pepper, smoked meat, extraordinary length. Needs 15–20 years minimum; outstanding examples age 40–60 years. The 1990, 1991, 1995, 1998, 2003, 2010, 2015 are the modern benchmarks. BC: Lifford.
