G.D. Vajra Barolo Bricco delle Viole

Barolo DOCG, Italy
Bricco delle Viole is the highest-elevation Grand Cru in the Barolo DOCG — at 400m+ altitude on volcanic (basalt and tufa) soils above Vergne. The combination of altitude and volcanic soils produces a Barolo of extraordinary elegance and perfume — more floral than structured, with a violet-lifted quality unlike any other Barolo cru. Vajra's biodynamic farming amplifies the terroir expression.

Guinea fowl's delicate, slightly gamy flavour is an ideal match for Vajra Bricco delle Viole's ethereal, violet-lifted Nebbiolo. The altitude and volcanic mineral of the vineyard creates a wine with elegant structure — not the brute force of Serralunga, but enough to support the roasted game.
