Hampden Great House is the estate's flagship aged expression — a blend of the highest ester marks (HGML and C<>H) pot-distilled at Hampden and aged for a minimum of 5 years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels. It is the definitive expression of traditional Jamaican rum: overwhelming ester intensity on the nose (overripe banana, pineapple, mango, nail varnish), transforming in the glass to extraordinary tropical fruit complexity. At cask strength (~46%), the character is concentrated and challenging; a few drops of water make it both approachable and revelatory. No added sugar; no artificial colouring; full production transparency.
