Jaboulet La Chapelle Hermitage
Hermitage, France
About this product
One of the most celebrated Hermitage wines — the 1961 La Chapelle is consistently cited among the greatest red wines ever produced. Paul Jaboulet Aîné's flagship, produced from old-vine Syrah on the Hermitage hill. Named for the small chapel at the summit. The wine demonstrates the best of structured, age-worthy Northern Rhône Syrah: dark fruit, iron, granite mineral, smoked meat, exceptional length. Great vintages: 1961, 1978, 1990, 2010, 2015, 2019. BC: Pacific Wine & Spirits.
