Markus Molitor Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese

Mosel, Germany
The flagship single-vineyard expression from Molitor's 100+ hectare Mosel operation — Zeltinger Sonnenuhr is a steep south-facing slate amphitheatre adjacent to the more famous Wehlener Sonnenuhr, producing Auslesen of extraordinary richness and complexity. Molitor's range uses colour-coded capsules: White (Kabinett) → Green (Spätlese) → Gold (Auslese) → Goldkapsel (Auslese with further botrytis selection). The Gold Auslese from Zeltinger Sonnenuhr represents the estate's most accessible collector expression — concentrated apricot and honey richness balanced by Mosel's electric acidity at 7.5-8% ABV.
