About this product
Shui Xian (水仙, Water Sprite) is one of the four great Wuyi rock oolong cultivars and the most widely planted in the Wuyi region. Where Da Hong Pao is roasted to intensity, Shui Xian is typically roasted more lightly and produces a more floral, orchid-forward profile — the name (water sprite or water narcissus) describes the scent of the fresh leaf. Wuyi Xingcun's Zhengyan Shui Xian demonstrates the yan yun rock mineral character in a more approachable register than Da Hong Pao, making it an excellent introduction to Wuyi yancha for new guests.
