Description
Maulid Nabi (Mawlid — celebration of Prophet Muhammad's birthday) — marked across Muslim Indonesia with specific food preparations. Nasi kebuli (INDO-ARAB-01 — Arab-Indonesian spiced rice) is the centrepiece of Maulid celebrations, particularly in Arab-Indonesian communities. Dodol (INDO-DODOL-01) is prepared and distributed. Many communities prepare giant tumpeng and distribute food to the poor.
