Aleš Kristančič runs Movia as a biodynamic estate on both sides of the Slovenian-Italian border, producing wines from Ponca flysch soils without any additions or filtration. The estate's Lunar wine (Rebula with extended skin contact, riddled like Champagne and disgorged at the table) is one of the wine world's most theatrical and memorable experiences.

Movia is Slovenia's most internationally acclaimed winery and one of the natural wine movement's founding estates. Aleš Kristančič's uncompromising approach — no additions, no filtration, biodynamic farming — has produced wines that have helped define the orange wine category internationally.
