Union of Samos Cooperatives
Philosophy
The Union of Samos Cooperatives — established 1934 — brings together 2,500 vineyard-owning families in a cooperative model that has maintained the island's Muscat tradition for 90 years. Production is certified organic and the cooperative's winemakers manage the complete range from dry to fortified and sun-dried Nectar with the same obsessive attention to Muscat aromatic expression.
Reputation
The UCS Samos Muscat is one of Greece's most internationally exported wines — a PDO product that has represented Greek viticultural heritage for generations. The Samos Nectar (sun-dried Muscat) and Anthemis (barrel-aged) are considered among the world's finest expressions of the Muscat Blanc variety, comparable in quality to Beaumes-de-Venise and Vin Santo.
