The reputation — the story that sells at the table
Miloš Plavac Mali Grand Cru has received 95-97 points from Jancis Robinson and Wine Advocate, with Robinson calling it 'one of the most surprising and impressive wines in Europe'. The estate's combination of terroir and uncompromising viticulture has established Croatia as a serious fine wine country internationally.
Practice
Frano Miloš produces Dingač from family vineyards on the steepest slopes of the Pelješac Peninsula — some parcels accessible only by boat due to the cliffs. The estate is widely considered Croatia's finest producer; the Pelješac wines age in French barriques for 2–3 years before release. Zero irrigation (forbidden on the steep karst), no pesticides, and hand-harvesting on near-vertical terrain are non-negotiable.
