Sara Pérez and René Barbier Jr. (daughter of Priorat pioneer René Barbier) produce some of Montsant's most celebrated wines from old-vine Garnacha and Cariñena on the slate and limestone slopes around Falset. The flagship Venus del Uni is blended from multiple old-vine parcels; the Dido labels explore each variety individually. Minimal intervention, indigenous yeast, and natural farming.

Venus la Universal is considered Montsant's finest producer — Robert Parker awarded Venus 96 points, calling it 'proof that Montsant can equal Priorat in quality at half the price'. Sara Pérez is one of Spain's most critically celebrated winemakers.
