Founded 1992 by Jay Soloff and Charles and Greg Lill; winemaker Chris Upchurch. One of the first Washington producers to position exclusively at the premium Bordeaux-blend level; Chaleur Estate was one of the first Washington reds to crack the $50 barrier when released.
Reputation
Chaleur Estate Red was Washington's first fine wine to reach the international market at Bordeaux premium pricing; DeLille set the benchmark for Washington Bordeaux blending in the 1990s.
