Champagne Bertrand-Delespierre
Champagne, France
Philosophy
Spontaneous native-yeast fermentation in demi-muid and stainless steel; traditional Coquard press; eschews malolactic on vintage wines to preserve terroir expression; minimum four years aging on lees before disgorgement with measured dosage reflecting each cuvée's character.
Reputation
Born in 1980 from the union of two winemaking families, Champagne Bertrand-Delespierre emerged when Chantal Delespierre and Didier Bertrand married and consolidated their Premier Cru vineyard holdings across the heart of Montagne de Reims. Now stewarded by their children Clémence and Adrien, the domaine sustains six generations of viticultural lineage, cultivating expressive, terroir-driven Champagnes from the limestone and clay-bearing soils of Chamery, Écueil, Villedommange, and Montbré.
