Champagne Emile Paris
Champagne, France
Philosophy
Fruit sourced from Grand Cru vineyards of the Montagne de Reims—Verzy, Verzenay, Mailly—pressed and vinified by Gérard Cuperly at Prunay. First fermentation in stainless steel and barrels, with meticulous blending of estate lots followed by 18 months aging on fine lees, honoring ancestral Champagne tradition.
Reputation
Founded in 1884 by Emile Paris after years of vineyard work in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, the house became a Premier Cru producer in 1920, exporting throughout Europe until closure during World War II. Revived in 2014 by négociant Patrick Bigar, who sourced the original terroir parcels that had supplied Champagne Philipponnat.
