Champagne Noël Bazin

Champagne, France
Predominantly Chardonnay blanc de blancs from limestone-rich southeastern slopes. Textural, mineral-driven wines of citrus and chalk character, vinified in stainless steel and wood with respect for traditional Champagne methods.
Noël and Magali Bazin, native to Villers-Marmery in the Perle Blanche zone of the Montagne de Reims, established their estate in 1988 and released their first vintage in 1999. Their three hectares, worked across twenty-five parcels, occupy the distinctive terroir of southeastern-facing limestone slopes that echo, in soil composition and exposure, the celebrated Chardonnay-producing Côte des Blancs to the south.
AllocationProducer's website is in French with minimal English content. Founded year 1999 confirmed across multiple sources (first vintage). Hectare holdings vary slightly across sources (2.4-3.3 ha); used 3.3 from most recent French-language source. Production volume (17,000 bottles annually) consistent across sources. Vom Boden confirmed as US importer through multiple retailer citations. No formal organic, biodynamic, or other certifications found despite sustainable practices. UK and Japan importers not definitively identified. Farming described as manual and nature-respecting but not certified sustainable/regenerative. Cuvée names sourced from producer website keyword list and multiple retailer sites. Cross-producer parallel to Henriet-Bazin (same village, referenced in VomBoden profile) is documented.
