Château d'Esclans
Provence, France
Philosophy
Barrel fermentation in French oak demi-muids combined with temperature-controlled stainless steel, optical-eye grape sorting, and manual harvest from sunrise to noon to preserve freshness. A proprietary cross between oak and steel fermentation yields full-bodied, pale rosés with the texture and aging potential of fine white Burgundy.
Reputation
Château d'Esclans traces its foundations to Gallic times, when the site served as a strategic surveillance point overlooking the Gulf of Fréjus. The current Tuscan-style residence was built in the nineteenth century and acquired by Sacha Lichine in 2005 with the singular ambition to create the world's finest rosés, an audacious vision that ignited the global Rosé Renaissance.
