Domaine Bruno Colin
Burgundy, France
Philosophy
Hand-harvested fruit fermented on fine lees in French oak with restrained new-wood influence. Whites express mineral precision and chalky tension through pneumatic pressing; reds achieve silken structure via full destemming and cold maceration. Minimal intervention allows each terroir's limestone-clay character to speak with crystalline clarity.
Reputation
Bruno Colin inherited his vineyard holdings from his father Michel Colin-Deléger, a third-generation vigneron on the Côte de Beaune, upon the family property's division in 2003. Establishing his own domaine with first vintage 2004, Colin has built a reputation as a key contemporary figure in Chassagne-Montrachet, working eight hectares split across thirty micro-parcels in five communes with the aim of expressing the pure terroir of limestone-rich Côte de Beaune.
