Domaine Céline & Frédéric Gueguen
Burgundy, France
Philosophy
Minimal-intervention vinification emphasizing indigenous yeasts and cool-temperature fermentation in stainless steel; grapes direct-pressed and cold-settled; malolactic fermentation and extended lees maturation (six to ten months) preserve freshness and mineral precision. The house style expresses Kimmeridgian terroir through crystalline acidity and flinty minerality.
Reputation
Established in January 2013 by Céline Brocard and her husband Frédéric Gueguen, this Chablis estate emerges from generations of wine-growing lineage in the region. Céline's family traces winegrowing heritage to the 16th century around Auxerre; Frédéric descends from Chablis rootstock through the Durup and Goulley families. After thirteen years at Domaine Jean-Marc Brocard, the couple established their own house in the hamlet of Préhy, a few kilometres southwest of Chablis town, uniting inherited Auxerrois vineyards with newly acquired parcels.
