Domaine Guillemard-Clerc

Burgundy, France
Corinne practices minimal intervention and meticulous hand-harvesting with immediate pressing. Oak remains restrained—rarely exceeding 20% new wood—allowing clay-limestone terroir and fruit expression to dominate. Traditional vinification married to pneumatic presses and temperature control preserves freshness across fifteen appellations.
Established in 1990 when the Guillemard and Clerc families inherited a modest parcel in Puligny-Montrachet, this small domaine occupies the heart of Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, a territory bounded by Lyon and Chablis renowned for white wines of international repute. Corinne Guillemard-Clerc represents the third generation, becoming in 2003 the first to vinify and bottle under the family name, transforming a grower's estate into a focused producer of exceptional precision.
AllocationSmall production estate (est. ~5000 bottles annually, 30% bottled, 70% sold to négociants). HVE certified 2020 but not organic or biodynamic certified. Corinne began winemaking in 1990 and created formal Domaine in 2003. Vineyard holdings given as both 'nearly 10 hectares' (source 22-2, 53-2, 54-2) and '25 acres' (~10.1 ha, source 6-9, 10-8, 51-6); treating as ~10 ha. US Importer identified as Vintage Imports (vntgimports.com); Singapore distributor is TWDC. Cross-producer parallels difficult to assert given unique boutique status and focus on quality over consistency across appellations. Producer website confirms both French and English language support. No biodynamic or organic certification found; sustainable farming through plowing and reasoned phytosanitary control only. | Importer overflow captured (importer_other): 'TWDC (The Wine Distribution Co) - Singapore'
