Domaine de Fa

Beaujolais, France
Whole-cluster fermentation with semi-carbonic maceration in concrete vats. Vinification employs indigenous yeasts and gravity-only cellar operations. Élevage in large old foudre for ten to fourteen months; wines bottled unfined and unfiltered. The approach mirrors Northern Rhône discipline applied to Gamay's crystalline expression.
Domaine de Fa was born in 2013 when brothers Maxime and Antoine Graillot, already renowned for their precise Syrah in Crozes-Hermitage, sought new challenges in Beaujolais. Located near Boyer in the northernmost reaches of the region, the domaine occupies some of Beaujolais's most elevated and granitic terrain—where Gamay finds its most mineral voice.
