Jean-Marie Guffens's Belgian-owned Mâconnais estate — the most critically acclaimed and internationally recognized Pouilly-Fuissé producer. Guffens's obsessive low-yield, precise viticulture and his refusal to compromise quality at any price has produced single-vineyard Pouilly-Fuissé wines (En France, La Roche, La Merlière) that routinely blind-taste alongside premier cru Puligny-Montrachet. He also owns Verget négociant, producing the finest range of Mâconnais and Côte de Beaune white wines commercially available.
