About this product
Portugal's definitive Alvarinho — from Mendes's single-parcel granite-soil vineyard in Monção. Whole-cluster pressed, fermented in French barriques (20% new) with indigenous yeast; 12 months on lees. Pale gold; extraordinary aromatic intensity: white peach, apricot blossom, ginger, lemon zest, and a granitic mineral backbone. The lees-derived texture and barrel complexity gives depth rare in Alvarinho. Excellent at 5–12 years.
