Kremstal DAC

Immediately downstream from the Wachau, Kremstal surrounds the ancient city of Krems at the mouth of the Krems valley. A mix of primary rock terraces (like Wachau) and loess plateau producing Grüner Veltliner and Riesling of great range and diversity. Sandgrube 13 and Kremser Kremsleiten are important single-vineyard sites. More varied in style than Wachau with both powerful and elegant expressions.
